ABOUT SISTEMA Ocean Bound

Sistema Ocean Bound is a range of lunch products made from 50% recycled ocean-bound plastic. Plastic waste is collected from land, coastlines, waterways, rivers, and beaches to prevent it from ending up at the bottom of the sea. The collected plastic is cleaned and refined through recycling processes. Refined ocean-bound plastic is mixed with new plastic material, and from the combined plastic materials, new food-grade storage sets and drink bottles of high quality are molded.

Ocean-bound plastic refers to plastic waste that has been improperly disposed of on land, coastlines, waterways, and rivers, posing a risk of polluting the ocean. Plastic waste generated within a 50 km radius of coastlines is often poorly managed and can potentially become marine debris.

All Sistema products are 100% free of BPA, phthalates, and other harmful substances.
