Baby dolls and dolls for children

Most children love baby dolls and can spend a long time playing with them in various ways. Perhaps the doll needs a bath, a change of clothes, or to eat. Maybe the doll cries and needs to be comforted. Children are capable of taking care of the dolls, and maybe they also take them for a ride in a doll stroller.

When children play with dolls, they develop and practice empathy and care for others, so it is actually very healthy for children to play with dolls and engage in family play. In this way, children practice being part of a meaningful community where they take care of each other and mirror what they see in the world.

Dolls for boys and girls

There are no rules saying that only girls can play with dolls. Boys can also enjoy taking care of others, and often boys also like to take a walk with a doll stroller and be part of the play.

Soft dolls, hard dolls, or wooden dolls?

Vinyl dolls can be taken into the bath, and if you feed them with a bottle, they can pee it out immediately. Remember to dry these dolls well if they have been in the bath, so they don't get sick inside.

The first doll

You can also consider whether the doll should have hair or if it should resemble a newborn with less hair, and whether it should have removable or sewn-on clothes. The choice is yours.
