The Oh’Naturel baby duvet is sewn in 100% organic cotton and filled with kapok – the silky-soft plant fiber known for being lightweight, temperature-regulating, hypoallergenic and naturally resistant to moisture. The result is a duvet that feels airy on warm nights and warm on cool mornings, giving the child stable sleeping conditions all year round.

The elegant piping edge gives a clean, timeless look and reinforces the seam along the edge, so the duvet keeps its shape beautifully – even after repeated use. With the classic baby size of 70×100 cm, the duvet fits perfectly in standard baby duvet covers and most cribs, bassinets and strollers in baby size.

Washing and care instructions

Always follow the washing instructions on the label.

Below you will find general guidelines for kapok duvets, so the filling retains its lightness and the duvet stays fresh.

For daily care (most often recommended instead of washing):

* Shake the duvet lightly and air it regularly in dry, fresh air.

* Avoid damp rooms – kapok thrives best when dry.

* Always use a cover and change it often; this reduces the need for washing.

When washing is necessary:

1. Preparation

* Check seams.

* Use a mild, gentle detergent (without bleach, enzymes or perfume).

* No fabric softener – it can settle on the fibers and inhibit breathability.

2. Washing program

* Delicate program 30–40°C.

* Gentle spin cycle (max 800 rpm).

* Wash the duvet alone or with a few light textiles to allow space in the drum.

3. Drying (very important)

* MUST be tumble dried. Do this at low to moderate heat together with 2–3 dryer balls/tennis balls, which help distribute the filling.

* Take the duvet out at intervals, shake and turn it, and continue drying. This may require several cycles.

* The duvet must be completely bone dry before it is used/stored in a cupboard. Moisture in kapok can cause odor and flatter filling.

4. Finishing

* Lay the duvet flat and let it **finish drying/cool down** in a dry room.

* Shake lightly to distribute the filling evenly.

* Put on a clean cover.

Avoid:

* Bleach, fabric softener and stain removers with solvents.

* Prolonged soaking.

* High heat in the tumble dryer or ironing.

* Dry cleaning (chemical cleaning) and steam cleaning.

Tip! If the duvet has simply lost volume, thorough airing and tumbling with dryer balls without heat is often enough to “fluff” the kapok fibers up again – completely without washing.
