Although the UV index is high primarily in the summer, the sun can still be harmful throughout the year. In the winter months, the UV index is generally low, but the sun can still be blinding. A good sun hat is ideal for your child, whether they are a slightly older child or a baby. In Denmark, the winter UV index typically ranges from 1, and as soon as it goes above 3, you should supplement with sunscreen to protect yourself and your child.
