We often receive questions about our onesies from Disana and Engel.
Disana's onesie is made of boiled wool and Engel's is made of wool fleece, so what is the difference? Both are organic and made of merino wool, so what should you choose for your little one.
Boiled wool is more resistant to wind and water, so if your child needs to go cycling in the cold or play in the sandbox, for example, they can wear a onesie or mittens made of boiled wool. They can play with wet sand and even dip their hands in water without it seeping through. Of course, it is not completely waterproof, but it is very water-repellent and tight.
Wool fleece is more airy and is perfect for napping in the stroller or car. It will absorb water faster than boiled wool, so it is only suitable for shorter trips to the sandbox. If the wind is strong, it will more easily penetrate through.
Both are very warm and at the same time temperate and breathable, making them the optimal material for children and play.
