Nursing bra - most new mothers need at least one really good nursing bra, but the selection is large and what should you choose.
Overall, the following is important:
★ Avoid nursing bras with underwire, as it can block the milk ducts and cause mastitis.
★ Find a nursing bra that fits well and covers the entire breast, so you don't experience any pressure.
★ Take into account that your breasts are largest in the first few weeks when the milk has come in. Milk production often stabilizes afterwards and the breasts return to a more "normal" size. However, most nursing bras are designed with flexible cups that can expand with your changing breast size.
At Naturebaby, we have three different brands and I will try to provide an overview of all of them.
Carriwell
Carriwell is a Danish company that produces various products for pregnant and new mothers. They have an organic line, which we carry, and their other products, which are not made of organic cotton, are OEKO-TEX® certified.
Gel wire nursing bra
Carriwell's newest nursing bra is called gel wire because it has gel wires instead of regular steel wires. This is great for those who want support but don't want steel wires. The cups are generous in size and good at expanding. The bra itself is true to size. The gel wire nursing bra is OEKO-TEX® certified.
Organic nursing bra
The organic nursing bra provides good support and is very breathable. Since it contains 65% organic (GOTS) cotton, it is good for sensitive skin and has a good fit. It runs a bit small in size and the cups are not as flexible as the gel wire bra, as it does not contain as much synthetic material. The organic nursing bra is both OEKO-TEX® and organic certified.
Seamless maternity bra
This bra is great for pregnancy as it provides good support for sore breasts and has no irritating seams. It can also be used for nursing, but it does not have the convenient click open/close function that a regular nursing bra has. It is both OEKO-TEX® and organic certified.
Boob Design
Boob Design is a Swedish company that focuses on organic and environmentally friendly products. All of their nursing bras are OEKO-TEX® certified and we exclusively carry their organic nursing tops in the shop. They also have nursing clothes made of a very environmentally friendly material called Lyocell, which is incredibly soft and comfortable!
Sports nursing bra
A brand new and unique nursing bra from Boob that provides ultimate support. Use it if you engage in a lot of sports or have very sensitive breasts that need optimal support. It is sweat-wicking and has extra wide straps, truly a great product. It is OEKO-TEX® certified and made of synthetic material, the same material as sportswear.
T-shirt nursing bra
This nursing bra looks fantastic under a t-shirt! It provides a perfectly round shape and is soft and luxurious. It has removable inserts that help create the soft, round shape. Very nice nursing bra with triple closure at the back, good fit, and support. It comes in three colors: black, white, and beige, and it is OEKO-TEX® certified.
Double strap nursing bra
A very nice and affordable basic nursing bra. It has two straps, so the weight can be distributed over the shoulders. The fabric is thin and soft and fits nicely against the skin. It does not provide as much support as the sports nursing bra or t-shirt nursing bra, so we do not recommend it for sore breasts. They run small in size, so you can go up a size if you are unsure. OEKO-TEX® certified.
Nursing bra in black - dots
Cute and nice nursing bra with polka dots and a red bow in the front. It has pretty lace along the edge of the bra and provides medium support. It is true to size and suitable as an everyday nursing bra. OEKO-TEX® certified.
Wool nursing bra
Unique to Boob are their nursing bra and nursing top in wool. They fit really well, provide good support, and most importantly: they keep the breasts warm! If you choose the nursing top, you also keep the stomach and back warm, and when you lift your shirt for nursing, you are not exposed and won't get cold. Cold is the breasts' big enemy, and you can risk blocked milk ducts if you don't keep your breasts warm. They can be used in both summer and winter, and they have Boob's well-known good fit.
Slimming nursing top
The nursing tops are available in both black and white. A nursing top is so smart and a really good purchase, as it is both a nursing bra and a undershirt in one. You keep the stomach and back warm, and when you need to nurse, you simply pull up your blouse and open the bra. You are not exposed and won't get cold, as you would if you only wore a bra. They provide just as good support as a nursing bra and they hold everything in place, so you feel more firm around the stomach, which can be a nice feeling after giving birth when the stomach may feel loose. It tightens everything up and can be nice for both those who are too thick and too thin! The nursing tops from Boob are OEKO-TEX® certified.

Engel is a German company that specializes in natural and organic products for children and adults. They are very organic and pure in their materials.
Nursing bra, natural
Our most "au natural" nursing bra. It is incredibly soft, elastic, and provides light support for the breasts. It is great for sore breasts that just need peace and quiet. There is nothing that can tighten, and you can easily open the nursing function by pulling down in the front.
