Think proved a test showing that disposable diapers contain unwanted chemicals. Another popular "green" brand has also been found to be more or less unsuitable. I wouldn’t say I’m surprised, but I am quite disappointed. The diapers, including the "green" ones, are almost exclusively made from fossil materials and there is not much recycling or green about them.
"Pampers Baby dry, Bambo Nature Maxi and MoltexNature No. 1 Ökowindeln contained only small traces of PAHs. These substances are typically found in products due to contamination during production."

The absolute best alternative to disposable diapers is cloth diapers. Unfortunately, they are no longer completely mainstream, but they are gaining popularity. People are becoming more and more aware of unwanted chemicals and environmental impact, and this is the incentive for many to make a switch.
We have just received a new brand of disposable diapers, Naty. A few years ago, I swore I would never have disposable diapers in the store, but I had to give in. The demand for genuine "green" disposable diapers is high, as not everyone is into cloth. Naty has thorough tests behind it; I have seen and read them myself, and they have been independently tested at Babygearlab, where they got 2nd place out of 24, not bad!
There are plenty of alternatives to disposable diapers with unwanted chemicals, and I am sure that the children will be the winners in the end if one chooses to switch!
