Sistema Ocean Bound is a series of lunch box products made from 50% recycled ocean-bound plastic. Plastic waste is collected from land, coasts, waterways, rivers, and beaches to prevent it from ending up at the bottom of the sea. The collected plastic is cleaned and refined through recycling processes. Refined ocean-bound plastic is mixed with new plastic material, and from the combined plastic materials, new food-grade storage series and water bottles of high quality are molded.
Ocean-bound plastic refers to plastic waste that has been improperly disposed of on land, coasts, waterways, and rivers, posing a risk of polluting the ocean. Plastic waste generated within a 50 km radius of coastlines is often poorly managed and can potentially become marine debris.
